Domotics and 5G

Two technological realities that will transform our homes.

The concept of “home automation” began to become widespread in the 90s, but it has not been until today when it has been consolidated as a technological revolution that has come to your home to stay. The new voice assistants developed by companies such as Apple, Amazon or Google have become part of our lives and are gradually taking on more and more functions: energy saving, comfort, security, entertainment… The possibilities when connecting home devices in the same home automation operating system are almost endless.

Smart Home” dwellings radically transform the home as we know it: smart refrigerators that do the shopping, recommend recipes or monitor our diet; kitchens that learn from your tastes, coffee makers that know the favorite coffee of each family member; garages that recognize our vehicle or musical equipment that make recommendations depending on our mood are just some examples that we will soon consider everyday.

The generalization of the Internet of Things, the connectivity of the devices and objects we use every day, will help them to adapt to our needs in an intelligent way, adapting their functions to suit the user. Everything will be connected.

One of the reasons for this revolution is the advent of 5G, which with its speed, signal reliability and predictable low latency, eliminates lags between an action and device reaction. In other words, thanks to 5G, our commands reach connected objects immediately, responding to our demands in real time. Expert predictions suggest that within a few years more than 30 billion objects will be interconnected through the Internet of Things, opening the door to Artificial Intelligence in our homes.

It’s not the future, it’s the Internet of Things (and it’s already here).

Your voice will be the central axis of your home.
